The Festive Season begins for me by opening the bar (festive gin, mulled gin, any gin really)😄, writing cards and listening to Benjamin Britten's "A Ceremony of Carols"
In high school, the girls from The Lornshill Singers shared sweat and tears, to perfect a number of pieces from this work. A particular challenge was 'This Little Babe" with nail biting close entries and harmonies. The performance was a great credit to the talents of our teachers Sandy Sinclair & Mary Griffiths.
You can hear the full work here performed by St John's Cambridge. Relax and enjoy.
