Hello ukulele friends. It is so good to be back making music again. Although baby steps, it has been great fun hearing and playing the tunes again.
Our Fife Ukulele Orchestra started back before Christmas, in our new home in Inverkeithing. We still have the naughty boys (love you guys🤣xx) who keep the energy of the group alive. What a talented bunch - Alistair & David shared with us their clever restoration of older ukuleles and for our "Valentine" evening ,
Louise (who is 93) made love heart hats for the boys!! 🥰
Sea life returns....
An amazing way to start 2022 with a first trip on MS Bolette with Fred Olsen Cruises. Yes, a challenge singing and playing with masks on, but we conquered it! A delightful trip around the Canaries with the all important purchase and savouring of the yummy Pastel de Nata at The Ritz in Madeira...I mean is there anywhere else??? :)
After a quick turnaround, it was a privilege to be the final guest speaker on MS Ventura for P&O. A real treat was flying over to Antigua from St Marten on a DH Twin Otter. Stunning watching the Caribbean islands from above at dusk.
How blessed am I?
It was back home....wash the smalls and pack more sun cream as I jumped on Saga's Spirit of Adventure. Beautiful ship. This was an epic 35 night Caribbean adventure.....but the adventure dissolved in the Azores, as the ship had to return to Southampton due to Covid numbers. Bravo, I say to all in the cruise industry as they try to keep the business open and accessible. There is a LOT of work behind the scenes keep us all safe and sometimes with the best will in the world, it doesn't work. But wow!!! what a gang we had onboard! The energy on the ship was electric..."Supercrafters" creating the most delicate intricate crafts, arts classes covering all mediums, Actors at Sea ( my, they were lively 😂) offering creative writing & acting technique workshops. Speakers covering acting, perfumes, Jack the Ripper..plus the distinguished author radio/TV presenter Martin Sixsmith who also shared the story behind his book/film "Philomena" Frankly, there was so much going on in the ship, that it didn't matter where we were!
Home time....
Where has the time gone? Wee Joy is one this week ...and is .....a wee Joy. She has visits to granny and grandad where she enjoys 'special salad" 😉😂
Our family is growing more, as we have another arrival due in June - more baby fun. The Partridge animals are thriving. Wee Nico, the pussy cat got stuck in a bush in the middle of a winter's night - that was fun for Luke and wee Teddy was 2 at the weekend. He continues to Director of Operations at Partridge Blooms.
Happy St Patrick's day to all my Irish Friends..
Hope you are all having fun..drinking Guinness and perfecting your Irish dancing XX
